+Lemon Fresh Dog
Congratulations on your Masters -- education is a very important career! (I'm faculty too ) This is OT, but PM me if you need any advice on the laptop. The new MacBooks are worth taking a look at -- escpecially now that you can dual-boot them between OSX and XP. I know where you're coming from -- I've also been a PC user for many, many years. (in fact, you don't even want to know what I do for a living -- if they hear that I have a Mac......). They are pretty inexpensive for what you get and you can run XP on them (I haven't tried Vista yet) -- that's why I thought I would mention it. For PC laptops -- I've always pretty much been a Toshiba user (well....I was a ThinkPad user for a few years too). I use a Toshiba M4 Tablet in additon to the MacBook Pro that I have -- it's "okay" if you need a Tablet -- sometimes it's a little wierd on me. The Satellites are nice (and we have a few hundred that are used on campus with few problems/complaint). However, I am now REALLY off-topic -- so just PM me if I can answer any questions you might have. Quote Link to comment
