Lizzy
This was another of my "must do" caches I was saving for a milestone. Guess I should go ahead and get some of these great caches done & not save them for later. From reading the logs, this was a memorable cache for lots of people & I was really looking forward to doing it. Very sad. Hope somehow, someday it can be reactivated. +WATreasureHunters
ARGGG! How sad. This is one I wanted to do as well. Too many good caches, not enough time, I guess... Quote Link to comment
Prying Pandora
Darn. I was afraid that was going to happen when I saw the new sign. Quote Link to comment
Shop99er
This is terrible news. We found it a long time ago, and always recommended it. Quote Link to comment
EraSeek
Thanks everyone. I pulled the cache today. Quote Link to comment
Criminal
Thanks everyone. I pulled the cache today. Dang, I was going to cammo up again for another rescue mission with RWW! Quote Link to comment
Moun10Bike
It's been a rough month for some of the all-time great Washington caches. If someone tells me that Ebey Bluffs is getting archived, I'm jumping off them! (Of course, I'll only roll a few feet before stopping - inside joke with EraSeek!) Quote Link to comment
TotemLake
I had only just heard about it a few weeks back and put it on my to do list. Guess I'll just have to be remiss. Quote Link to comment
Recdiver
That is so sad. I'm just glad that talks2animals and I had the opportunity to do this one before it got pulled. If they make it easier & safer to get to it just won't be as memorable. Quote Link to comment
evergreenhiker!
dadgum it! One of the best ever planted. I wanted to take IMW there. Quote Link to comment
WeightMan
It is sad to lose this one, but I respect EraSeek's reasons for archiving it. I only hope that there will be a replacement once the signs are down and access is once more allowed. Quote Link to comment
WATreasureHunters
I second that, WeightMan. Quote Link to comment
EraSeek
Thanks once again everyone. This organization, the Whidbey Camanao Land Trust, has done some good things. They buy up land that should be preserved, potecting it from development. This site, the Naas preserve, is such a site. It was slated for sale for private developement. Here is the info on it: (EDIT - well it seems they have restrictions on linking their website, so you can go to wclt . org and click on "projects" and then Naas preserve.) If you check their home page you can find their other projects. If you check the news link, they have a tour of the Naas area on july 9. Edited June 29, 2006 by EraSeek Quote Link to comment
