Decryption Key

If you use Firefox (and why aren't you?), you can install the LEETKEY extension. This extension does on-the-fly text conversions right on the web page. It does ROT13, URL encoding, base conversions, Morse Code translations, DES encryption/decryption, text reversal, and more.

And if you want a stand-alone (windows) hint decoder, I'd suggest Encryptix. It understands the [plaintext bracketing] using on geocaching, and also the encode schemes of other sites. It can also do selective encoding/decoding.

Clicking on "decrypt" doesn't work?

There's got to be an easier way than clicking a button. Like downloading and installing a browser extension

I remember seeing a puzzle cache with similar encryption. I have a feeling it's not very nice though :P

Yikes, I want to have to click a button. Most of the time I don't see the page til it's in my Pda, and I use Mobipocket so there's no chance of seeing the hint accidentally - but sometimes I do look at cache pages online and I wouldn't want it automatically decrypted, or posted without encryption. I like to try searching without the hints first. Don't get any ideas about changing the system!

Speaking of Rot13, is it just me who's rapidly learning to read it as if it were plaintext?

Aside from obvious stuff like 'and' (naq) and 'the' (gur), I've quickly learned to spot the Rot13 versions of words like rock (ebpx), stump (fghzc), tree (gerr), etc... Or maybe I'm just a geek :D

Not me. The above text is your message changed into ROT13 and I don't find it easy to read at all!
