briansnat
There are better units out there for geocaching, but it will do the job. I'm going to slide this over to the appropriate forum. Quote Link to comment
Two Old Crows
We have a Garmin 72 which we bought to replace another unit which we broke while caching. The 72 works very well. Quote Link to comment

Zork V
I had one of these for about a year, It was fine for caching. A few more features than my old ETrex Quote Link to comment
PaRacers
We bought a Garmin 72 as our first GPRr and it works fine for geocaching. It was inexpensive and the screen is bigger than some and easy to read. On the down side, you have to buy map software from Garmin to get maps with any detail which costs about $30. I'm sure there are alot of units with more features and more memory, but for a basic unit for geocaching we're satisfied with it. Edited February 7, 2006 by PaRacers Quote Link to comment
Airmapper
Garmin 72 is a good unit, I own one in addition to my AirMap. I like the big arrow screen, it's easy to see when your scrambling around looking for a cache. It doesn't hold the signal all that great under tree cover, but not many GPS units can. Alphawolf
Big screen, easy to hold, just as accurate as any, won't do maps, but you don't need them for geocaching anyway. If it's a good deal, grab it! It will get you to the caches just as accurately and quickly as any other receiver out there once you figure it out a bit. Quote Link to comment
rich720
Not sure where you live, but the local Bass Pro shops store had reconditioned 72's for $99. Quote Link to comment
