  1. I am new to geocaching and purchased a Garmin Etrex Legend. My question: Is there any way to download the hints for each cache to my gps also or can I only download the waypoint. Any info is appreciated.
  2. I am wondering if the garmin etrex legend is a good unit for geocaching, and also can you download waypoints to or do you have to enter them manually. I can a good deal on one, but do not know much about them. any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
  3. [ do you still have it quote name="DayHunters"' date='Jan 22 2006, 07:58 PM' post='1988889] Have totally enjoyed this little GPS unit! It is so user friendly that we bought two. One has now gotten adopted by family... and the hubby got a Map 76. Think we are going to sell the Legend and get another Map 76, so we can coordinate again. If you are a newbie, or just want a back up unit, this is a great one! $ 100 OBO. I think you'll love it!
  4. I have several items I would be willing to trade for a good gps unit. I have a sharp 400x zoom camcorder, barely used, paid over 400 new. I also have several sets of golf clubs, Arnold Palmer PHD tour pros 3-pw, Jack Nicklaus VCG irons 3-pw, barely used at all. If anyone is interested, let me know. Thanks.

  11. Hey everyone, I have been geocaching for about 3 weeks now with my cousin and I am hooked. However, I do not have a unit of my own. My question is, I don't have alot of money right now and was thinking of buying a cheaper one, like the explorist 100, I found it at wal-mart for around a$100, While i know you can not download waypoints with these, I want to know if you can enter them into your handset manually off of the website, and also is this a decent unit, thanks for any help you can give.
