Operation Doblave
This is kinda how I feel when I look at solving a puzzle cache. I am just overconfuzzled. Does anyone have any suggestions or helpful tips on how to figure out puzzle caches? Quote Link to comment
+JohnnyVegas
For me, I just do not do them. I have never really been able to figure them out so I just do not try anymore Quote Link to comment
+Indotguy
Same here. I don't care for puzzles and for the most part simply avoid them. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Every puzzle is different, so there is no one way of solving them. You just have to think. Quote Link to comment
+QDman
Sometimes you can wait until the cache has been found a few times, then email the owner. Say you'd love to find their cache, but have no idea how to solve the puzzle. Ask for a hint. I've never had an owner refuse. They really want you to solve the puzzle, or they wouldn't have placed it. Quote Link to comment
markandlynn
All the sudoku ones are easy with the online tools now available. You can try some copying and pasting the clue or text into the google search bar sometimes works otherwise its ask the cache owner for more help if its too hard for too many people they may change the cache page. +Isonzo Karst
A couple of common puzzle varieties involve fancy fonts, and hidden information in the html. You can look at the source code for any page. The first time I ever tried that, I discovered that the information I needed was right on the cache page, but the key section had the font color as white, hence invisible. BTW, I added the hint after a month or two - so the real puzzle hounds could work it unassisted. Edited December 13, 2005 by Isonzo Karst Quote Link to comment

+Isonzo Karst
right click on the cache page - view page source (or something like that, depending on your browser) will be one option Quote Link to comment

I have also tried those with not luck, there are over 7,000 caches within 100 miles of me. I may never need to do a puzzle cache Quote Link to comment

+Harry Dolphin
Hey! Puzzle caches are fun! Some are easy, some are difficult. Some require a lot of Google searching. Some are nigh unto impossible. They can be very challenging and rewarding. But, give it an honest try, and I'll offer hints to solving mine. They are there to be found. Quote Link to comment
