+SD Rowdies
I wonder who warned him about the socks? Yeah, sure, I wonder who? The other breaking story is that some of them suspicious Colorado Geocachers are whining about owning our "This just in" thread based upon the laughable theory that when RocketMan moved to Denver the Forum threads that he started moved with him. Records show that RocketMan was first and rightly assigned to some redneck state like Arkansas or Alabama rather than Colorado. It is a high crime in Redneck country to transport Forum threads across the Mason-Dixon Line and so no such claim is valid. Besides, when Zoltig was zonked out on the grass the San Diego group stole the thread back for us. So there ... dude! ... don't make us call Lisa. +splashman
I wonder who warned him about the socks? Just before our group left on the 'difficult' run (translation ~ ROCKS) OUR Rocketman made an announcement that everybody needed to 'bunch' their socks because the 'unbunched sock police' had spies in the area.......................you could hear the sounds of socks bunching as we left!!! The CO cachers that we met are some of the nicest, coolest, and funnest people you will ever meet! The Splashes Quote Link to comment

I now see what happens 'round the forums. A guy takes off for yet ANOTHER weekend in mountains (above timberline) and you break out the photoshop tools. Well I guess that it probably sums it up pretty well, tho! Sometimes a power nap at 12k can make a difference. I can sleep lightly knowing that Jessie will let anybody (Splashette) sneak up on me. "Mountain lions and bears! Come and get it! Dinner is served!" BTW! I announced the "Sock Warning" prior to the event run knowing full well that pictures would be placed and scrutinized by forum hooligans! Quote Link to comment

Looks like the one out in Lakeside above the Walmart near the dctalk007 cache war zone... Excellent honking, definitely in DuctTape007's war zone and very near the GI Joe hide. There's another image of the wreck on the GI Joe web page but it shows the truck in upright position. Must be the coyotes are rolling it further down the hill to strip parts. A big bush kept it from landing right on the trail so next roll we must walk around it. Edited August 19, 2008 by SD Rowdies Quote Link to comment

I drove up at Mast Trailhead yesterday just as they were heading toward the trail. I walked with them into Spring Canyon and then took separate paths at the service road that heads up to the landfill ridge. Nice to meet you sis. I really look up to people like LLOT and his sister ... they both remind me of the Lemurians of Telos that are said to be eight-foot tall. Meeting a pair of Lemurians just makes me want to ascend. +Let's Look Over Thayer
Note to self: Organize a class on proper construction and photographing of find-banners. Tip 1: Do not wait until the very last minute to come up with a milestone banner. Prepare one in advance. It's not as if you didn't know that the milestone was coming... Tip 2: Hold the banner so that it does not reflect too much light into the camera's lightmeter. Tip 3: Frame the shot so that no one can see your socks... Tip 4: Don't bite the hand that lets you score three solo FTFs... Quote Link to comment
