2oldfarts (the rockhounders)
Which ever brand you choose, just get a charger that can be used at home and in your vehicle. The ray-o-vac charger will charge their batteries (4 at a time) in about an hour when plugged into the cigarette lighter socket. John Quote Link to comment

Find Now, Log Later?
Which recahrgable AA battery is best for a gps? ex energizer max life ni-hm I've been using the energizer 2100 mAh AA-size NIMH batteries in both of my gps units for at least the last 6 months. They perform very well. I bought a total of 12 of the AA batteries. The rest of the family also uses them in our digital cameras, Discmans and Gameboys. We use the CH30MN recharger, and it typically recharges (up to 4) fully drained batteries in 10 - 15 minutes. (It's supposedly a 1/2 hr charger.) It's great not going through a "brick" of batteries a week anymore ... the batteries paid for themselves in a month. Quote Link to comment
