http://www8.garmin.com/aboutGPS/waas.html Have you looked for north up or track up in map setting's and set that to track up?

How did you find one without a GPS?? It can be done by utilizing all the tools available to us. I've found a few without using a GPS but using other tools, tips in the cache, reading cache logs that others have posted, and the satellite view. My mom actually had 2 FTFs without using her GPS (yay mom). But anyway .... I have a Garmin Venture HCx and it works great for me. It has a color screen that I find much easier to see than the black and grey one of the first GPS I tried and returned. Although it goes to a dark blue and white display at night which I find kind of annoying. I do love that it has a USB cord which makes it super easy to quickly download coordinates. Good luck! Hey bugg mine has settings in setup menu for day night and automatic where you can change the color's to be both the same or whatever you like. but i only have the legenend cx.

One of the little drop down search menu's let's you search by coordinate's. Just enter the one's where you are now that are displayed on your gps.

And the one I got to pass on has smooth tire tread exept on the outer edge's. And there all the same on all four tire's so I don't know what all the different tire pattern talk was about unless I am missing something here.

Screen scratch removal?
Brakeless1 replied to taylorsgeotracker's topic in GPS technology and devices
The novus polish is a three part step do you use all three and go from rough to fine polish in the correct order? Also sometimes if the scatches are not real deep you can skip the roughest polish as it will dull. and try the finest two or three time's to polish it to a fine shine. or maybe even plastic safe carwax. -

Which Gps Unit For A Mountain Bike
Brakeless1 replied to walter71's topic in GPS technology and devices
I got the garmin plug from pfrancs and made a 2-D-cell battery holder inside a old water bottle for a bike. wire routes from water bottle to handle bar mount. and my garmin legend will stay on constantly for at least two day's. -
yea in my menu on my garmin you have to change the battery type setting for the battery meter to read right. rechargeable's have like .3 less volt's than alkalines like energizer's even when fully charged.
