mykc
How can I download waypoints into my 60c directly through the USB interface? I really don't want to enter manually, I get finger cramps . I tried looking through the manual but it's been pretty useless. The Garmin website was no help either. Quote Link to comment

SergZak
Just to elaborate a bit further....Trip and Waypoint Manager is included in the box with the 60C. Edited February 26, 2004 by SergZak Quote Link to comment

mykc
Yeah, I know about trips and waypoint manager<_<. I've been cutting and pasting waypoints off the site and uploading them onto my 60c through that program instead of punching them in manually. What I'm asking is, can I just download the *.loc or *.gpc file and upload it directly into the gps? You know, like using easygps. Quote Link to comment
mykc
Also use EasyMPS in conjunction Tried easygps, it does not list 60c as supported gps. I don't think it supports USB either. Quote Link to comment
+Blind Avocado
Export the waypoints to Garmin format. If easygps does not do this, then GSAK will (and it's free!). This will get you all the exported waypoints in one file. Then open that file with Waypoint Manager, and use that to send to your 60c using USB. Works great! +Brenin Tegeingl
Can any one with a 60c, confirm that the unit comes with a international basemap. As this is what a UK retailer is stating in their description of it. Only I'm thinking of purchasing one from the US. This would give me a approx saving after adding on VAT of US$200, total cost including shipping and tax works out just over half of what I'd have to pay here in the UK. Dave Quote Link to comment

+Brenin Tegeingl
America's Basemap only Cheers for that, thought they'd got it wrong, probably should read European base map. Still going to order from the US, as I hate being ripped off. Dave Quote Link to comment
+sk8rdi16
How much of a 'Basemap' are you looking for? I just checked my 60C it has the entire world. Zoomed in on England, it only had major cities. No roads. Basic land forms and such. Hope this helps! Quote Link to comment

Thanks for that, Garmin basemaps are usualy US or European, I'll be purchasing City select Europe, for autorouting. Following the arrow on the etrex can add miles or near misses on the way to caches. +Volwrath
No problem. I would have probably assumed a typo as much as easygps gets discussed around here. Quote Link to comment
