I don't use the f word so I'd probably say...WOW that was fun!...but my favorite weird cache is the 2+ mile one way hike through the Snoqualmie Tunnel..."Mission 9: Tunnel of Light" ...in the dark, especially cool after midnight.

The yearly champoeg event cache (or actually a series of event caches) would definately qualify as weird, crazy, cool, amazing....and pretty much any other adjectives you can come up with. Just read a little of the discussion here to see a glimpse of the mayhem to come in June.

What's wrong with fudge? When I go to the Pacific Science Center I always stop in for some fudge. If I don't use the f word there, how will they know I want their fudge? ;)

I have to agree with Gem's on this one. When we found this cache, we didn't have a flashlight, so ended up hiking through (and back again) in the pitch dark. Now I know what it feels like to be completely blind :o . Even my dog was scared to death ;) . My husband had to pick him up and carry him the whole way through and back. We had so much fun doing this cache. I can't wait to get up there and do it again. :D

I like to get dropped of at Hyak at the east end of the tunnel and bike downhill all the way to NorthBend. There are several caches along the way on the Iron Horse Trail.

I always debate wether to bring a coat for the tunnel and carry it the rest of the way or freeze for the first two miles in the tunnel.

I WONDERED about those wierd, wooden pipelines when I took my trip to Crater Lake 2 years ago! Definitely a "WTF?!" for me!

They go from where to where? What's their history? Any web pages? Any maps on the pipeline routes?

That is an AWESOME cache!!! One of the best I have done. The scenery is beautiful and the hike is great. I spent the day out their for my 40th birthday last year as a bit of a walking meditation. I agree with the others it is for sure top 10 material.

Didn't do the Powerhouse cache. Yeah JoeDohn put out some really good boxes...I only did some of them, but I really liked his Wind river cache...can't recall the name, but there is a another cache there now so that spot is still being displayed.

oops...I meant powerhouse not tunnel of light

It's the old camera, but it's still a pretty sweet spot. There was a replacement for awhile, but it didn't pan out I don't think.
