+CYBret Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 Earlier this month we moved a whopping 8.3 miles (according to my eTrex Venture, YMMV) and I was amazed to see the difference in my closest cache list. By moving just a few miles I've added over 50 caches to my 100 mile radius and somehow I've actually done MORE of the caches on my first few screens! How about you? Whether you moved down the road or across the globe, how did it effect your caching experience? Bret "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again." Moun10Bike Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 Last year we moved a mere 0.7 mile. No real effect on my nearest caches list. Quote
+Criminal Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 I moved .48 miles in March. My zip code is the same so the number of caches has remained the same. EDIT: Spelling http://fp1.centurytel.net/Criminal_Page/ Quote
+mogolloyd Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 I moved 24 miles last month, I went form having hundreds of traditional caches withing 15 miles to about 4 within 30 Quote
+The BeeGees Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 We're scheduled to close on our new house in August. It's 27 miles away and we'll be adding 143 caches to our radius. Woo Hoo! Now all we have to do is sell our old house. Incidentally, if anyone's interested in a 4 bedroom Cape in North Jersey... Quote
+Renegade Knight Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 250 Miles and boy what a difference. Less than 1/4 the caches when I moved. It's getting worse! ===================== Wherever you go there you are. Quote
+Team Tecmage Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 We're moving in a little over a month. 260 caches near us now, and 916 in our new location. Although, with the move, new job and baby on the way, it probably won't matter for a while. Quote
Dru Morgan Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 Criminal, you know you can search from your home coords exactly, right? And not just your home zip code. Ever notice how anyone that caches more than you do is a maniac, while anyone that caches less than you do is an idiot? -Dru Morgan Quote

+jollybgood Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 I have three bases of operation. My home in Arlingtoin Heights, the folks' place in central Indiana (230 miles away) and my office (15 miles away). I love the shift in nearest caches. Really ads to the fun as far as planning my route of attack and so forth. Jolly R. Blackburn http://kenzerco.com "Never declare war on a man who buys his ink by the gallon." Quote
Team Dragon Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 I've moved from Arizona (more caches than you can shake a stick at), to the DC area to northern VA and will be moving to a country in Europe, one that doesn't have many caches, in the fall. The number of caches just keeps dropping. Quote
