The Cheeseheads
When I started back in April, there were only two caches in the Racine-Kenosha, WI area. Now there are fourteen (2 mine, plus one just over the WI-IL border) which is a pretty significant jump. And a new one pops up every other week or so, so I've always got a new one to hunt without having to drive 50 miles. Quote Link to comment
welch
im not sure how many there were last fall, is there anyway to check? id guess the area has gain at least 40 caches, but i dont remember what the number used to be, so how can i compare? Quote Link to comment
Markwell
296 for me. There was an old thread on this I think... bah. Don't feel like searching. I think, however - I did a stats thing while getting ready for our GeoPicnic. The graph below shows caches placed in the Chicago area since the beginning of caching. It does NOT take into account when the caches were archived - it's just cumulative. Interestingly enough, when I did this graph last year in July, although the scale was different, it looked pretty much the same! Markwell Chicago Geocachers Quote Link to comment
Prime Suspect
We have about 300 total caches (255 if you exclude Virtual and Events) within 100 mile radius, 245 since October of 2001. Quote Link to comment
Wander Lost
634 with in 100 miles of zip 98001. I don't remember how many we had when I started in Feburary but we get several new ones each week. If ignorance is bliss, why aren't there more happy people?? Quote Link to comment

jfitzpat
763 within 100 miles of my home zip code, 790 within 100 miles of my work zip code (11 miles apart). -jjf Quote Link to comment
mikedx
110 within 100 miles of my home 25521, and you would think that WV would be an ideal location to cache! Quote Link to comment
Frolickin
There are 194 within a 100 mile radius. That is more than I thought considering one quadrant is the ocean. I have not been keeping a running total, but this is certainly up from last November. Fro. ________________________________________ Geocaching . . . hiking with a purpose Quote Link to comment
Pepper
I just checked and there are 907 in the 100 mile radius of my zip 94566. It is only 50 miles to the Pacific ocean. The cache population grows almost daily around the Bay Area. There are 59 or so East Bay Regional Parks. Pepper Horizontals where it's at! Quote Link to comment
briansnat
I have 883 caches within 100 miles of my zipcopde. If you check the Geo Trivia thread, they discuss the issue of which zipcode has the most caches within 100 miles. There are several with over 900 caches in that radius. Quote Link to comment
Lil Devil
Don't know about last fall, but last June there were less than 100 caches in the Sacramento, California area. Now there are 847. Quote Link to comment
georgeandmary
933 as of now... I know of at least one more that hasn't been approved yet. So figure 934 sometime tomorrow. george Remember: Half the people you meet are below average. Quote Link to comment
