Android - Empty D/T grid search

With this feature, you can filter for caches that fill an empty D/T combination.

Search for D/T combinations either from your Profile by tapping "Statistics," then "Fill in your grid," or directly from the filter screen by selecting "Show only empty D/T combinations."

 

If you have already filled your grid, congratulations! At this time, D/T grid search will not work for you.

 

 

HQ will not actively participate in this thread, but will review it for feedback to assess if a feature should be further developed.

I tried it out, and everything worked just fine. I just don't have any interest in this feature on the app.

Should have the feature to show missing D/T for the next level of Fizzy grid - so if filled 2x - should should what is needed for 3x

Due to an apparent bug in the code it is necessary to log out and then log back in before this feature will appear.

Nor me.

I have logged out and back in again.

We have completed the grid several times so it would be of no use in it's current form anyway.

The most ones that haven't filled IT one time (who can use IT), don't want to use IT, As I Was told by these cachers. 

The ones who have found the grid one time can't use IT and would like to have a 2x, 3x, etc. Button

The feature is working fine for me, but I would make a tweak, which is automatically selecting the "Show only empty D/T combinations" option if you come from the "Fill in your grid" button on the "Statistics" screen, unless you've already filled it in.

UX-wise, I think that if you want to fill in your grid, it's natural that you want to look for empty combinations in the first place, as if you were trying to fill out a sticker book.

While I don't completely agree with Hidden Legends that this is not interesting for anyone, I do think that the majority of cachers who will find this feature useful are those who are trying to "loop" fill the grid more than once,  and this feature is not available beyond one loop.  I might possibly use it just to see if caches in an area might fill a square, though I am not actively pursuing that particular goal at this time.

 

So it is an interesting feature.  I think those who would find it most useful can't use it in its present form, and the set of cachers it IS available to are largely NOT interested in what it does.  There are some, like me, who may use it, but I think for the "grid fillers", the goal is to do it more than once, and for this to be truly useful, tweaking to add more than just EMPTY squares is needed. If I am trying to fill it for the 2nd or 3rd time, I can choose to filter for all combos that have 1 find, or 2 finds, or whatever is the lowest number in my grid that needs to be increased to complete another "loop".

Thank You for this - *I* for one will find this very useful in my FIRST go round at filling in the grid - I was having to do multiple searches for what was missing, now I just can look at the map!

I haven't filled in my grid yet and I frequently use this feature. I enjoy it as is, but would love to see the additional 2x 3x functionality added.

There's no thread for the new experimental feature of milestones. I'm not a fan of this feature on the app. On the very rare occasion I would ever use it it would be on the website.
