RavenClearwater
I've seen the term "cords on the screws" used multiple times on activity pages of caches.. Does anyone know what this means? I've seen nothing related to cords and screws near these caches before. Quote Link to comment
+coman123
Give us a Cache GC# that has the term used, it will help us answer your question Quote Link to comment
+kunarion
I've heard the phrase "on the screws", and it means "dead center" as a great golf shot. So maybe it means that the coordinates are great. Quote Link to comment
+niraD
Ah, so it wouldn't be "cords on the screws" but "coords on the screws", right? Quote Link to comment
Pup Patrol
Give us a Cache GC# that has the term used, it will help us answer your question http://coord.info/GC266HX Found it 04/02/2016 headed out to meet up with Dave in University City. +briansnat
There is a baseball term called "hitting the ball on the screws". It means you hit the ball dead center and hard. I suspect someone adapted this to geocaching and it means dead on coordinates. Quote Link to comment
+ecanderson
Indeed a little confusing since some folks seem determined to abbreviate 'coordinates' as 'cords' instead of 'coords'. Always looks silly when I see it. Of course, we have lots of cleaver caches in our area, too (sigh). Spelling is definitely a lost art, having given way to spel chekkers! Quote Link to comment

+WarNinjas
My guess is that the coords are good! Quote Link to comment
+EScout
It's a term from when wooden golf clubs had screws holding inserts on the face of the club and the ball was hit well. Quote Link to comment
+GC Parrotheads
When cords comes up it is usually caused by an auto correct. Quote Link to comment
