Cache a Train

Engine #1285, one of only two surviving switch engines from the 1920's of its class. Donated to the city of Monterey in the 1950's by S&P, and installed in Dennis the Menace Playground in Lake El Estero Park, it served as a piece of playground equipment for over 50 years, until a contentious report from a consulting firm during the playground renovation, led to the engine getting fenced off. Now just a piece of interesting history.

I used the engine to fulfill an old Locationless Cache requirement:

My brother and I used to love playing on that thing. It and the "helicopter" were our favorite things at the park. The "helicopter" is long gone. It's sad (but not surprising) that this locomotive is on its way out. Edited by niraD
