+funkymunkyzone Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) Here is the Group Photo. I need names and locations! 5 from left, 2nd down - Auckland, New Zealand. I didn't know it was at first because none of the coins there match the colours I picked and approved. Now that the coins have arrived I know why... The mint coloured our coin wrong. I've just now emailed Michael about it, but I know that it's not his fault and there's nothing he'll be able to do with now less than 2 weeks until the event. Now for the unapologetically "woe is me" portion of this post. This comes after the mint got the colours wrong for our Leap into Caching coin as well. At least that time it was a more subtle mistake. This time a large area that was supposed to be bare copper as been coloured yellow when there was no yellow at all specified on the coin anywhere! I don't know how they can get the colours wrong and different to the artwork they produced. Clearly there is no such thing as quality control measures. Oakcoins: Time to look for a new mint! Edit: Michael is looking into what they can do, but I know realistically it will not result in having the coins minted correctly and delivered in time for the event, and returning these coins and getting new ones will result in US$200+ in extra shipping.
