poochiesgirl
I have seen several cache descriptions that say hidden "Florida style", "Miami style" or "Georgia style". I do not know what this means and I have had no luck finding a few caches that had this description. If I knew what these descriptions meant I might could find these caches. Please help! +Chokecherry
Some trees are more conducive for hiding caches than others. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
Seems a lot of localities have common hide types. I think florida=under palm leaves, Georgia = under pine straw (pine needles), Never heard anything for Miami. Quote Link to comment

+Harry Dolphin
From my experience, Florida style means film canister with soggy log. Quote Link to comment

+Isonzo Karst
This stuff is in constant flux and locally variable. Florida style to me means under palmetto or palm fronds - usually on the ground It's NOT in the boot jack of a palm, like the illustration above. But maybe that is how it's used in your area. Miami style I haven't heard of, but I'd guess it IS in the bootjack of a palm, per the image above. Georgia style is pretty consistently on the ground, under pine straw. Quote Link to comment

I'm a sucker for cute containers. I'm guessing the cache is one of those bison tube like pet ID thingys on the collar. Gotta do this myself..... Quote Link to comment

+randco
Florida Style = anywhere a palm frond meets the trunk of the tree. Palmetto bushes are used in a similar manner. Quote Link to comment
