It's 8.2 cents per day spread out over a year. Besides, it helps keep the lights on and the servers running, so why not? Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
Well, you could download the LOC file from the cache page and then use EasyGPS to convert the file to GPX format. Note that it will not have all the information on the cache page. If you want GPX files from the cache page, you must be a Premium Member. Quote Link to comment
+sbell111
Can non-premium members still download LOC/GPX files for individual caches? EDITed to add that I had pulled up the thread prior to MM answering my question. Edited September 3, 2009 by sbell111 Quote Link to comment

They can get the cache information in GPX format. But, as I stated, the GPX file will not have all the information on the cache page. There's no way to do what the OP is asking. As Lil Devil has inquired, not sure exactly what the OP is trying to accomplish other than not becoming a "member". Quote Link to comment

If that's not the case, what is it you're trying to accomplish? My thoughts as well. $30 per year is awfully hard to beat. If it was as easy as you are trying to make it - nobody would pay for membership. Quote Link to comment

The thing is that i dont go out geocaching evry day, i do 2 or 3 caches 2 in 2 weeks and i am not paying for a year if im only going to go out geocaching a few times in a year. yes i know that there is a 3 month membership but it is more expensive than the 1 year. i think that the year membership should change and you pay for a year but instaid of a year, you only pay for each day you use a primium membership featchure. there for you can use 360days of primium membership but not restricticly betwen like 3-9-2009 and 3-9-2010 the membership should expire after you have used 360days of a membership feature. thanks. ps: does anyone want to give me a gifte certificat or a delorme GPS porchus code im availible at any time! +FrayD
If you don't cache all that often I can understand not wanting to pay for membership. I think membership is well worth it though and I pay my dues. Another option is to just use the loc files off the cache page for your GPS and then print the page if you want the rest of the info. For the amount of time that you are going to spend that might do the trick for you. Another option is to build your own GPX I guess. From the way I read it as long as the process is not automated you are legal. Notepad and cut-n-paste. If you look at the time it might take buying a membership might be cheaper. Having a daily membership could turn into a real mess. Like Cpl.Klinger said it's 8.2 cents per day, that's probably the cheapest part of caching. What else can you do for 8.2 cents a day?
