Too many trackables?

anyone else feel that there are to many trackable items in caches nowadays?

I don't notice too many but what I do notice is that when I leave a TB it goes months before someone moves it even though the cache gets visiters.

In the way of confession, I no longer move trackables, why, because they all seem to pile up in my back pack, until a severe case of the guilty conscience forces me to hide a new cache with all of them stuffed in the box. Which I just did the other day.

They have lost their luster to an extent. I remember people running out to a cache just to get a travel bug or geocoin. You don't see a lot of that anymore. But too many? Nah. Some people like them and actually collect

icons, so I don't see an issue. Personally I'd rather open a cache and find geocoins and travel bugs than a bunch of broken toys.

I know several people that would travel miles out of their way to Discover a coin, but it seems somewhat rare that I find caches with any sort of a trackable. I rarely pick up TBs, just because I feel orribly guilty if I don't get to drop it off within 2 days. I grab coins though, because i do know so many people who will drool over them.

I vote that there is not enough! Trackable items are nice because people actually care about them. I also have not seen an increase on a TB/cache basis. Meaning I think the rate of new caches and new TBs are proportionately increasing at the same frequency.

Too many, no I don't think so. Just to many cachers who take them and don't log it out of the cache. Went to many caches with bugs listed, only to not find them.

We just made Capt. Harley a TB. So if you see us on the trails, don't grab him , just discover him!

It is a shame however to go to a specific cache to find a listed coin is not there. We don't get the point of stealing other people's stuff. And to the cache owners that know the trackables are missing - why not take the time to mark them missing? People will still visit your cache anyway....

I look forward to caches that have TB's or Coins in them. It add's to the experience imo. Its also nice to see what different coins look like in person. And as stated above, its better than looking at a bunch of junk toys.

Wait... I don't understand the downside of that. You are exactly the type of person I want to find my geocoins!

there are not too many trackables, there are too many caches with trackables listed on the webpage but are not in the caches. Cache and trackable owners seem to be notoriously lazy about keeping inventories up to date. BTW, I still like moving TB's and coins around, the farther the better!
