+blb9556
As of today (11/30/08) their are 692,733 active geocaches in the world. +Isonzo Karst
1,066,000 listings have been created (roughly) so ~65% of cache listings created exist as active caches. That means when 1,538,000 cache listings have been created, there may be 1 million active caches. That means it's still gonna be a while...... Quote Link to comment
+blb9556
You have a point. I will have to say July 19th 2013 Quote Link to comment
+Corey
maybe... May 3, 2011. Is this the appropriate forum for this thread? Quote Link to comment

+Radnord
At the given rate of increase, it could be that the magic number of 1,000,000 will be reached on December 23, 2012. This monumental event coinciding with the date that the Mayan long count predicts will be the end of the (4th) world, the alignment of the two events is guaranteed to bring about the apocalypse! Bank on it! Quote Link to comment
+TrailGators
Where is Nostradamus when you need him? I will guess June 1st, 2012. Quote Link to comment

+Zarya.
Taking into account cache saturation, but also exponential growth as technology becomes cheaper and the internet spreads the word, I would put five pence on about 5th November 2015. Quote Link to comment
nostra-dumass
Where is Nostradamus when you need him? I will guess June 1st, 2012. YOU RANG? NOVEMBER TWENTY-SECOND, TWO THOUSAND-ELEVEN 11/22/11 Quote Link to comment

GPS-Hermit
Reduce the number of caches by the number of lame ones and it will take quite a while about 2016! Quote Link to comment
