ljay
I know this is a stupid question but i was always told to ask the stupid questions cos you always get good answers!!! The story is i am going to a Small cache and camping event. I've not been camping in over 15 years (so the bad memories have all faded). i was going to be driving but as i failed my Driving test last week that is now not happening. I had posted a sorry can't make it note and was kindly offered a left by another local cacher (who i have never met). Arrangments all made but now i am not sure if i have everything i need. Obviously if i was in my own car i'd take everything and then the kitchen sink. but since i am catching a lift i want to make sure i have everything without filling the trunk. So i have; My Tent, roll mat and sleeping bag. Torch, small tent mallet. An appropriate selection of clothes for all weather (this is scotland, it may snow) Cool Box with food (not yet stocked but breakfast, daytime and bbq stock is organised), Eating untensils. Toilet stuff and bug stuff Fully Stocked GeoKit (Inc GPS with all 40 Caches within 50 Miles of location) What am i missing? Ljay Quote Link to comment

bogleman
If you really need a complete list This is good for 3 days for 3 kids and myself packs nicely into and on the Subaru Quote Link to comment
Cache Whisperer
The camping events I've attended included lots of sharing of food (BEER), potluck style. I always try to bring one thing to share thats unusual(BEER). Once it was boiled crawfish (with BEER), another time it was sushi (and BEER). Don't forget the ice (BEER). Quote Link to comment
+Lovey Pigs
you may want to set up your tent and buy some spray waterproofing and use some seam sealer so in case of rain your tent will keep you dry, at least hopefully. don't forget your toothbrush!! and maybe one or two tarps to keep wood, stuff covered if needed. ljay
Hi Guy's Thanks for the suggestions, The tent is currently set up in the garage, so that i know how to put it up. Bogleman, i love your list and have printed off a copy. You don't take beer when camping in the scottish hills. The scottish midge is attracted to it. I now know what i am missing and can adapt Bogleman's list to suit me. Thanks, Ljay Quote Link to comment
Dinoprophet
Oops. Nice list, though, Bogleman. Everytime we're packing, I swear I'm going to make one of those. Edited June 6, 2008 by Dinoprophet Quote Link to comment
