+The Auclair Family
I went out after this cach GC10D94 in Feb. but came up empty handed. Shortly their after the owner put in a log saying they think the cache is missing and would check on it soon, then another log saying cache was indeed missing and put a new cache with new cords. Check out the logs, should i have logged this as a FTF or is it just another find? I don't have a problem with changing my log if i am wrong, I was just excited to get my first FTF!!!! Motorcycle_Mama
Did you find the actual cache and were you the first to sign the log? If so, you are the first to find. Quote Link to comment

+briansnat
Being that there are 36 finds before you I can't see you you possibly could be FTF. But you can call yourself whatever you want. Quote Link to comment
+cache_test_dummies
I wouldn't claim FTF if I was the first to sign the log on a replacement cache that had been previously found before being replaced. My view of FTF is that there is only one FTF per GC#. Subsequent replacement caches don't count. Quote Link to comment
+hukilaulau
I will sometimes jokingly write something like FTSNL (first to sign new log) or sometimes even sillier things. I admit it IS fun to get an authentic FTF. I would change your log so that when you get the real thing you can claim without an asterisk. Quote Link to comment

Motorcycle_Mama
Ooops, I didn't realize that just the log was new. I thought the cache was new. No FTF on this one. Quote Link to comment
ao318
When I find a new log on an old cache I will put FTS new log. I have found several of these. Quote Link to comment

I looked at the logs, and no, the FTF is the person who signs the original log first after it was published. You found it after it was missing and replaced. FTF's are fun, though. If you are a premium member, set up a notification to be notified when a cache is "published" within the mile range that you would be willing to travel to get a FTF. Good luck! Quote Link to comment

If you did not find it first, it is not a FTF. You have experianced what happens from time to time when trying to get FTF on a cache. Quote Link to comment

Just thought i should say this so people are not answering to a dead post. Thanks for all the insight! Quote Link to comment
