+The Blorenges
Well done! There are quite a few geocachers who use this method, or did use this method, when they first started hunting caches. See how many you can find - It'll give you a taste of the game and then you might consider buying a GPS. Good Luck MrsB Quote Link to comment
The Birches Head Hunters
Well done. You'll be hooked soon! We found our first 20 or so caches before buying a GPS. A good ordnance survey map is as useful as a GPS sometimes, and a lot more 'old skool'! Quote Link to comment
+4 Badgers
I'm so excited, I found my first cache today, I don't yet own a GPS but there was a cache near me that I managed to locate using google earth and a bit of good luck!!! Good for you! We found our first 16 caches like this and we have a good friend who pretty much only caches without GPS (and he has over 260 finds under his belt - but don't tell anyone, as some cachers would say he's not really geocaching if he's not using a GPS ). Enjoy the sport / pastime and don't let anyone tell you it's just about the numbers just a passing fad Quote Link to comment
+L8HNB
Ace! We sometimes still use GE and always need lots of luck..... One of our local cachers, Dobin, had 40+ finds before he went electronic. The main thing is keep enjoying yourself and having a laugh! L&H Quote Link to comment
+Cushie Butterfield
We have only just started but we haven't tried without GPS, I was surprised how exciting I found it, we have had loads of fun in just 7 finds so far. Quote Link to comment
+The Booklady
I have found 2 more locally, 1 by all accounts is quite straight forward and is on a walk I know fairly well, the other is a bit more of a problem apparently, so may give it a go anyway - who knows!! Hopefully the weather will be good at the weekend! Edited November 7, 2007 by The Booklady Quote Link to comment

+currykev
Welcome. The great thing about caching is the diversity. You can do it casually or take it very seriously indeed. There are the basic caches or some very puzzling ones too.You also gain a 6th cache sense over time.Good Luck! Quote Link to comment
