+thelanes Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 TEchnically, every day I have gone out caching, I have found a cache. So I have never had a day I did not find a cache On the flip side, I have only had a 14 day period with no caches found. Just didn't get out for a couple of weeks. Must have been lazy. Quote
+treasure_hunter Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 The longest period of time I have went without a find was 300 days. My grandma passed away during that time, and it took my father and I some time before getting back out on the trails. We started in July of 02, we didn't find a cache from August 11th 02 - June 6th 03. We finally decided that caching was a way to bond together and cope with our loss. We have been caching ever since and we love it! Quote

+DudleyGrunt Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 (edited) Without - 30, 7/15 to 8/15 2006 With - 14, 7/30 to 8/12 2007 Previously, my longest streak was 8 days, which I'd done 3 times. I was glad to set a new streak during the same period of time when I was in my drought last year. Unfortunately, I didn't get a find on Monday, but have had one each day since. We stopped at an overlook where I was sure there should have been a cache, though we didn't have any info. Looked around a bit, but didn't find one. Checked later and there was one. Wish I'd looked a little longer. Ah well, I'm working on a new streak. Edited August 17, 2007 by DudleyGrunt Quote

+Jeep_Dog Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Most consecutive days with a find: 6 Wow. I never noticed that technically I have never had a good solid week straight of geocaching. Well, one has to pause at some point and drink beer, n'est pas? Most consecutive days without a find: 137 Ack! Was it that long? Looking back, I see that this happened when I completely cached out the area, and simply could not go caching. I made up for the long stretch by placing caches, however. Quote
