+geckoboy49
how do I insert a hyperlink into my hint on the cache page. I've tried <a href="http://www.nameofpage.com">Name of page</a> and all I get is the name of the page and yes, the "descriptions below are in HTML" box is checked since my description is in HTML. +Knight2000
I dont know, but i certainly wouldn't want that as a hint. What good would a hyperlink be when you decode on a trail? I think that would irritate people. Quote Link to comment
+stepshep
I don't think you can put HTML in the Hint. I also agree that a website is not helpful in the woods. If the website is helpful I would put it in the description. Quote Link to comment

To find this cache, you must've solved a complicated puzzle AHEAD of time........hardly as you bop around in the woods. Probably is not feasible to do what I had in mind anyway. Quote Link to comment
+Nachtraaf
Why making a html link of it (which is not possible)? If you enter the following as hint text: http://www.geocaching.com The encrypted result is: uggc://jjj.trbpnpuvat.pbz The only thing someone has to do is decrypte-copy-paste in a new browser window. big deal... +geckoboy49
Thanks Hans. That's essentially what I did. Quote Link to comment
+ODragon
Ugh, please don't do this... It sucks when you need a hint, are in the middle of no where and there's a hint that doesn't help you. There's a whole thread about this... Useless Hints Quote Link to comment

+StarBrand
Since many of us don't sneak a peek at the hint before heading out - I would be angry when I tried to see it on on the trail. Puzzle or not. Quote Link to comment
+stepshep
I thought the hint was supposed to be used for help in finding the cache, not help in solving the puzzle. Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
Locally, when a hint is added to a Puzzle cache, there will often be two hints. One for the Puzzle, another for the cache itself. Quote Link to comment
+ODragon
If it's a hint for a puzzle, how about adding [Puzzle] in front of it so people know it's for the puzzle. Quote Link to comment
