I've had a few FTF, and in all but my micro's I place a unique FTF prize. So I was just looking to see what sort of FTF prizes all of you have come across, or what FTF prizes you might place in your caches.

well, the best thing ive found for an FTF is a $25 gift card for olive garden

I just hid a new cache over the weekend and put an unactivated geocoin in as FTF prize. My last cache was a $25 gift cert to EMS (the last one was a challenging puzzle cache).

Now I feel cheap, I only gave out $10 Cracker Barrel cards...

I have also only hidden three caches (over 5+ years), which means I can afford to splurge more than cachers who have hidden many more.

One of my fellow cachers is an established flintknapper. He makes and leaves really nice arrowheads and clovis points. They are quite sought after by area cachers.

Many times micros around here contain a gold dollar or one of the new dollar coins. One local cacher leaves a $2 bill in all of his caches for the FTF. Some folks leave certificates. I have a friend who found a FTF prize that was a new fishing reel with an 1800's fifty cent piece attached and coordinates to the matching fishing pole. Now that was a pretty nice FTF prize!

 

I've left unactivated travel bug dog tags, geocoins, gold dollars, and other things. In my Scrooge's Strongbox series I left an unactivated Kilted Cacher Christmas Geocoin. It's a nice one. I actually use mine on my Christmas tree as an ornament.

I found an inflatable monkey as a FTF prize. Beat that! Inflatable monkeys rule.

This absolutely pales in comparison the inflatable monkey, but I left a Clie in a cache for the FTF. Third to find needed it and took it to go paperless.

looks like I need to go to CA and try to grab some caches. yeah right I have almost given up on FTF's but I guess maybe that topic is for a different thread. We have put out 4 caches and left 2 unactivated TB's and a 5 dollar Wal-Mart gift card. Don't remember on the other one.

For my 100th placed cache Operation Wreckhunter, FTF is a 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar.

 

Best thing I ever found as a FTF item was unactivated travel bugs. Of course the TB ended up MIA after I launched it.

I usually leave maybe a 24 or 48 pack of AA's, once I left a HP PDA, a Zire 31 may go into the next one. It will be a difficult night cache.

I am building my first cache now and plan to leave a one ounce .999 silver coin as a FTF.

I bought a pile of 'em years ago at $7 an oz. with metal detector finds.

At $13+ now I hope the finder will be pleased.

Thats when you find a close, but seperate hiding spot for the FTF prize, and just post the coords to the prize so its really obvious to the FTFer that the prize is in another "bonus" location.

 

One of my buddies did that when he left a nice walking stick for FTF.....Had it hidden in a pile of sticks a couple hundred feet from the cache.
