Cachers Phonetic Alphabet

Recommended Posts

I can't remember the phonetic alphabet and have no intention of learning it, so instead I tend to make up silly words on the fly, for instance if giving out my postcode to another cachers I'll say "PR6 - that's P for.... erm.... pirates and R for rabbit". Decided therefore that it's time for a caching-related phonetic alphabet ;)

So here's for starters...

Ammo

Box

Cache

....tbc!

Doh! Who went straight to Z and spoilt my fun! Only one I can think of in the gaps is R for Rummage :anitongue: Shall we start from A again - so we can have Lacto as L

Sorry to be a killjoy, Isn't the point of the phonetic alphabet to use fairly unusual and unique words that will not be confused in a normal sentence? To muggles, this would be quite a good phonetic alphabet, but not to cachers!

Its not to be taken seriously! You weren't being serious were you Edgey?? Liane

How about:

Alpha

Bravo

Charlie

Delta

Echo

Foxtrot

Golf

Hotel

India

Juliet

Kilo

Lima

Mike

November

Oscar

Papa

Qubec

Romeo

Sierra

Tango

Uniform

Victor

Whisky

Xray

Yankee

Zulu

They all sound like unusual and unique words that will not be confused in a normal sentence!

Sorry... have I lost the thread somewhere? <_<:o
