  7. This didn't seem to work first time? so here goes again. There is a cache very local to us, which sometime ago was disabled as it needed maintence. As it had sat like this for some time, we went out and collected it and brought it home to sort it out. We replaced the box as it had a hole in, and replaced the worst of the contents, added a new log book etc. We then took it back and replaced it in it's original location. Then we emailed the owner to say it was now ready to be re-emabled and found again, and posted a note on the cache page. We heard nothing from the cache owner, and his last recorded visit to the websie was in August 2007 which was when he disabled the cache. Still nothing happened so we posted another note on the page saying we would like to adopt it, if he didn't have any objections.....as of this date we have still heard nothing. It seems a shame to let a good cache go to waste, so we would like any advice on how we may be able to take it over and get it up and running again. Thanks in advance Gordy N Jackie
  8. How about an ammo box, piece of chain round it with a padlock. Make sure the chain goes under the handle so it can't be slid off. Fix the chain to the handle with a cable tie so it always stays under the handle. Gordy
  9. I Junk (cito) K Location Muggles Navigate Offset Pocket Queries R Search Tupperware Unknown Virtual Waypoint X marks the spot (lame, sorry) Y Zen and the art of Geocaching Gordy and Jackie
  10. 24 minutes but it was just down the road this cache
  11. We had a FTF today, our second ever. It was only set THREE WEEKS ago. But it was quite difficult. There are some local cachers who are prepared to go out at 5-30AM (you know who you are) but for us its just a bonus.
  12. Hi, if it's Ely we probably wont be able to attend, as 2 hours each way in a car with kids is just not going to be workable. Still think it's best to try and keep it in a central location for everyone, and as a location Ely is just too far west.
  13. We are in Lowestoft, and having looked at a map, halfway between you and us would appear to be in the Thetford area - which is also pretty central for Norwich and Ipswich areas as well. Just our 2p worth lol
  14. This sounds like a really really really good idea to us , it's been too long since the last one (and we were really new then lol!) If you need any help just drop us a line, we are on the Norfolk/Suffolk/North Sea border..... Gordy N Jackie
