.......... hover over the icon next to the hidden date, this will say 'Remember this date!' Click it at you get a download stright into MS outlook!

anyone know where to get the script for this ??

don't think you need a script, just worked for me.

Was thinking of using the script in another application

Me thinks you a) need to be using Firefox, not IE, and 2) also install Greasemonkey. All geocachers should do this anyway - it greatly enhances your geoexperience. See this thread.

What I was after was the ability to use the click on a date and add it to my calander in Outlook (not just for Geocaching). But if it's a Greasemonkey script and only works in Firefox then I won't be using it. Last time I tried Firefox, it made a right mess of my PC.

This isn't a greasemonkey script as I have tried it with greasemonkey turned off and it still works. It must be built into the page

Edit to add.

I have found it I think, though I am no expert on HTTP. I think this is the relevant bit of code.

<span id="DateHidden">2/26/2006</span>

<span id="lblCalendarLinks"><a href='../my/vcalendar.aspx?guid=d8a4b6cf-d266-43eb-9ac8-025e4761a1db' title='Remember this Date!'><img src='../images/silk/calendar_link.png' border='0' height='16' width='16' align='absmiddle' />

This means that it can't be applied to any page like a greasemonkey script.

It automatically creates a diary item in iCal on my Mac too

For CrazyL200: the link generates a .vcs file which is an open format file that you should be able to construct. I just did a quick Google on it and there is tons of info on how it works out there that should help you.

Thanks, funny you should say that - was just doing the same
