+crazycavelover
Somehow, not only for Christmas, But all the long year through, The joy that you give to others, Is the joy that comes back to you. And the more you spend in blessing, The poor and lonely and sad, The more of your heart's possessing, Returns to you glad. -John Greenleaf Whittier Quote Link to comment

Baking time: 55 min. Decoration time: 30 min. Difficulty: Easy What you'll need: 1 bag M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for the Holidays 1 bag Holiday MINIS® Mix 1 16-oz. box pound cake mix 2 12-oz. cans whipped vanilla frosting Red and green food coloring 1 2 1/2-quart Pyrex bowl Spatula 2 resealable plastic bags Ribbon (optional) What to do: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease the bowl. Reserve 3 TWIX® Brand MINIS® and chop the remaining bag of Holiday MINIS® Mix. Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions and pour the batter into the prepared bowl. Sprinkle the chopped candy on top of the batter. Bake for approximately 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven, let cool for 15 minutes, invert and let cool completely. Divide the frosting between 3 bowls; tint one bowl red and one bowl green leaving the last bowl white. Transfer the cake to a serving platter. Using the photograph as guide, cover the center with a 3-inch stripe of white frosting. Spoon the tinted frostings into separate resealable plastic bags with a small corner snipped. Pipe multiple lines of tinted frosting on either side of the white frosting. Place the 3 TWIX® Brand MINIS® at the top of the cake to help secure ribbon in place. Decorate the white portion with M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for the Holidays. Makes 12 servings. +GBOTS
Christmas Chocolate Drops Try some yummy morsels that go great with a cold cup of milk. Prep time: 30 min. Baking time: 10 min. Difficulty: Easy What you'll need: 1 bag DOVE® Brand Rich Dark Chocolate 8 tablespoons butter 1/3 cup flour 1/4 cup cocoa powder 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 large eggs 2/3 cup sugar 2 cups chopped nuts: such as walnuts, pecans or toasted almonds 2 cookie sheet pans Foil paper What to do: Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Meanwhile, roughly chop the remaining chocolate and set aside. To make the batter, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in a small bowl, set aside. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until thick and light yellow, about 2 minutes. Stir in flour mixture and cooled chocolate and beat for 1 minute. Fold in the remaining chopped DOVE® Brand Rich Dark Chocolate and nuts. Drop tablespoons of batter onto the prepared cookie sheet pans about 2 inches apart. Bake for approximately 10 minutes, or until just firm. Remove from the oven, transfer to a wire rack and cool for 5 minutes before removing from the cookie sheet pans. Makes 36 cookies. Quote Link to comment
