MouseFart
I have been searching for this one cache for 2 weeks now, deciding that it was not going to get the best of me. I have DNF'd it twice already because there are just way too many muggles in the daylight, so I went back last night and searched till I gave up and quit for the 3rd time. Just now, I went to the web site to log my 3rd DNF and it says it is now only available to members. This kind of stinks because I was not ready to give up all together and was going to re-check my coords, but I guess the owner decided differently for me. Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
Did the cache coords or the location change? I think I'd talk to the owner, there might be something going on we aren't aware of. Quote Link to comment

Well, I don't know if the coords have changed or not, or even if it has been moved due to it now being only available to members, I can't open it anymore. Quote Link to comment
+Ed & Julie
What cache are you looking for? Any premium member (like me) can verify the coordinates for you. Ed Quote Link to comment

I don't know your situation but it sounds like you have some time and gas already invested in the hunt so unless you have some moral, political or religous objection to it I think spending the 3 additional bucks a month is well worth it. +Team Neos
Drop the cache owner a line. They will already be aware that you were hunting it from the DNFs that you logged. Let them know that you are still very interested in finding that cache. If they are willing for non-members to find it, I am sure they will be happy to give you any information you need about changes in the cache. Wait, I might have to revise that advice... I just spent a half hour reading over the logs for the caches in your area, and I can't find a single PMOC where you have logged any DNFs. I think looked at every PMOC cache within 30 miles of the caches you have done. I could have missed one though, so feel free to PM and I'll look again if I did. I do see a few caches that have been recently changed to PMOC ---sounds like you guys are having a bit of a problem 'round there with a cache rustler, huh? Well, in that case, I doubt the cache owner is going to be too free and easy with PMOC coords if you haven't been logging DNFs. You might just have to wait until the caches get converted back (or you become a PM). Edited August 1, 2006 by Team Neos Quote Link to comment

+Team Neos
So Mousey, any updates on the now-you-see-it-now-you-don't cache? I keep expecting you to post that you emailed the owner, they told you the cords were still the same, and you went out and found it. Quote Link to comment

A friend who is a premium member gave me the coords, which I was off a bit on mine. I have since found it, just can't claim it until I decide if I am going to do the premium thing or not. Zombie_Woof
Have a look at this: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...p;#entry1422176 But the cost of the membership is well worth it. Quote Link to comment
+Team Neos
Yeah, you can use the method Zombie Woof pointed out--or if you aren't comfortable with that, email the owner to ask them if they mind if you log it. They can make it a normal cache long enough for you to log it--or perhaps they'll just tell you to use the workaround. Quote Link to comment
+unicyclist
If you have Greasemonkey you have the loging option button from the cache list right? Quote Link to comment
+Lil Devil
Making it even easier, this page has a "log" button. Enter the GC#, press the button, and voila! Log your find Quote Link to comment
