+gas4cache
I'm new around the holiday season. I really hope I can keep up with it.. I'm bad about taking up hobbies then dropping them.. But I like gadgets so much, I think I'll be around a while. Going probably some time tomorrow to find my first 2 caches... (or at least try) Ron Quote Link to comment
+Isonzo Karst
There certainly was a spike in new cachers and hides by them in my area last year after Christmas. Some of them remained active in caching, most did not. Quote Link to comment
Mustcache
I'm not a new cacher, but I put a new cache out today. Edited December 26, 2005 by Mustcache Quote Link to comment

Av8rdan
I'm one of those noobs that shows up right after Christmas. My son and I both got Garmins from "Santa", he a Legend and me a Legend C. We investigated geocaching.com, became instantly hooked after finding some caches in Eugene, OR and on the OR coast. I had no freakin' idea this sport existed, but it is the best way I can think of to combine my love of technology and the outdoors. I plan to continue caching, and am already practicing CITO as I always have on hikes. So I sure hope all of you experienced cachers welcome us into your world, 'cause here we are. So stoked I cannot contain my enthusiasm...and yes, it will stick. Quote Link to comment
rawhide_clyde
Count me in as a noobie. I had been aware of Geocaching and even run across some cachers while hiking. Never got aq good e4xposure to it and generally my free time was spent mountain biking or whitewater paddling. Santa graced me with an entry-level GPS and it has really added a nice dimension to our outdoor hikes/walks. I think it will be something (solo and family) that is continued as an added dimension to our camping and other outdoor fun. Stay Safe, Clyde Quote Link to comment
