+biggeeks
Hi All, I recently hosted a successful CITO event, but I had really wanted to have those bright yellow geocaching garbage bags instead of just a bunch of black ones that didn't let us brag about our clean up efforts. Does anyone know why they are no longer for sale? Thanks BGB Quote Link to comment
magellan315
Found these on line, search for "trash bags". Colored Trash Bags. You'll pay more for these over the generic trash bags, on the other hand nothing says "look at all the trash we picked up" than a brightly colored bag. Was tempted to do this for a CITO I planned last spring Quote Link to comment
+Moose Mob
Not sure if this thread should be in the Website forums or the CITO forums. For now, we'll let it sit and see if you get any answers. Quote Link to comment
ElmoClarity
I had about 10 of those bags I got before I moved and wasn't able to use them like I originally planned. I attended a CITO last week and brought those along. They were a great hit with the cachers and the landmanager who was there running the event. I thought I would go and order some more only to discover they weren't available anymore. I would be nice to find out if they dropped them because they weren't selling or if there was another reason such as a problem with the supplier. Quote Link to comment
+dougsmiley
Can't be too difficult to make them. Buy some yellow trash bags and use a sticker or spray paint template. I'm sure there would be no problem with using the CITO logo in this way. The logos are downloadable here: http://www.cacheintrashout.org/download.aspx Theres a black and white one that would save on ink/be good for spray paint template. Maybe a better idea for a product would be a large (ink) stamp. Most people don't want to pay $5 to ship trash bags, or pay the prices that were charged for them. A stamp, on the other hand, is a one time investment, easy to apply to any trashbag. Quote Link to comment
+Moose Mob
Let's see if the CITO folks have any ideas. Moving topic. Quote Link to comment

+Eartha
From the looks of the Groundspeak site they have been discontinued. That shouldn't stop anyone from having a CITO event though! Or from practicing CITO every day Thanks for caring. Quote Link to comment
+Raine
Bryan says... "out of stock until we get the new cito products in stock. give it a month or two." So there you have it Quote Link to comment
