The Dictionary Of Geocaching

Recommended Posts

Have any of you found any Geocaching words in a Dictionary?

How long do you think it will be before Geocaching gets into the Dictionary?

What Geocaching words would look funny in a Dictionary?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NON Geocaching Words that have fairly recently found their way into the Dictionary:

Optical Fiber - Not something you find in your Rasin Bran Cereal

GPS - A fairly new entry, something Geocaching cant be without.

ION engine Starship

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How about these for the Dictionary:

Geo-muggles

CITO

TNLN, TNLNSL

Virtual Cache

Multi Cache

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Would be neat to have a Geocaching Dictionary on this site?

Is there one?

For links to one geocaching dictionary here on Geocaching.com, as well as excellent offsite resources compiled by Markwell and Prime Suspect, check out My Post in the FAQ Topic that is pinned in the "Getting Started" forum.

Forum posts mentioning the appearance of Geocaching as a term in modern online dictionaries go back to at least February 2003. At that time, this link was posted. We're in the dictionary! Well, maybe not Webster's.
