+Du's Crew
What would be the definition of a "Park & Grab"? Quote Link to comment
+CompuCash
parking your car - not having to walk more than the length of a football field to find the cache I found a micro in part of a sign that was right next to a sidwalk - now THAT'S park and grab! +Du's Crew
So it doesn't have anything to do with how much traffic is in the area? I thought it meant you have to open it in your car to keep from being detected. Is there another name for this? Quote Link to comment
+Prairie Dog
Park and grab could mean less than 500 feet from car to cache. I take it to mean there's no hiking involved so you don't need to pack extra water and stuff. Quote Link to comment
+CompuCash
ahh ... you extend it 200 more feet - ok - I won't argue - I think he gets the general idea. Around my area are a number of small - mabe only a couple hunderd feet on a side = parks - no need to carry more than your pen you next trade and your GuPSter. I just used the football field as a general index to give you the idea. That's sort of cute tho - having to open it in the car - not a bad idea either in some ways. Quote Link to comment
+Team Perks
If you don't even have to park your car to get the cache, is it still a park n grab? Quote Link to comment
+rusty_tlc
Area 38 is so close to the road the passenger can reach it without getting out of the car. Of course it is located just about dead center in the middle of nowhere so just driving to it can be a challange. Quote Link to comment
vagabond
I've done a couple of park and grabs, in drive up lanes of closed fast food resturants, at the order sign. Just reach out and grab it Quote Link to comment
+ZackJones
If you park and before you can get out of the car and put on the fanny pack your wife has the cache open and is looking through the contents it's a park and grab This happened to us on the way back from Myrtle Beach last weekend. +Imajika
Hmmmm, we don't call them 'park and grabs' here. We call them 'cache and dash'. I have only found one like this. I parked my car and the GPS said I was 10 feet away. Quote Link to comment
+norbu
I know a Dan-oh cache that you can park right next to, don't have to even get out of the car if you do it correctly. Of course, you have to find the time when no one is napping or just hanging out there. edited to add: I forgot to say that this is an Awesome hide btw! Not a regular quite, but roomy enough for trades and sooo cool. Edited July 9, 2004 by norbu Quote Link to comment
