beckerbuns Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 (edited) Our wedding cache has been approved. Check it out: Wedding of Beckerbuns & Nurse Dave I hope to see as many of you there as possible. We were given special permission to have an event cache for our wedding... Since we met in IRC channel #geocache! Cheers! Edited June 17, 2004 by beckerbuns
Renegade Knight Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 Megga Ditto's on the contratulations. I agree with team 360 about the chat as well.
hedberg Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 Upload pics after the wedding please!! And yes, I agree with the logger who suggested an yellow jeep as your transportation vehicle for the wedding! A must!
bradtal Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 Congratulations! So, does the First Finder get to kiss the bride? Are you going to have a bouquet of poision ivy and thistles instead of flowers? Are you going to be handing out Deet instead of Bubbles? Are you going to be having trail mix instead of dinner mints? Instead of seating assignments, will each guest be given coordinates to their table? If it rains, will it raise the difficulty level from a 2 to a 3? Are you going to have a "logbook" instead of a guestbook to sign? Will all presents have to be wrapped in an ammo can or tupperware container? Will you sign the logbook, "Found: each other... Left: a bouquet, a garter, and some McToys..."? I hope the best to both of you... Brad

beckerbuns Posted June 17, 2004 Author Posted June 17, 2004 Are you going to have a "logbook" instead of a guestbook to sign? Haha!!! Actually, we are having a logbook. Keep in mind that there will be NON-cachers there too but we plan on making it largely a cache event... Cachers will be the norm there... If that's possible.
Planet Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 Awwwwww, and I remember when you had just met! I will be there in spirit! Can't make it from the east coast, but you know I'll be thinking about you. Still wondering about that date thing though. But hey, it's YOUR wedding! It sounds like so much fun!
sept1c_tank Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 (edited) Congrats, ND & BB. I hope we can get some exclusive coverage of this geocaching milestone for Today's Cacher! Edited June 17, 2004 by sept1c_tank
joefrog Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 Don't forget to re-hide a container commemorating the event, too. There's one not too far from here that has an ongoing wedding theme. The Bride TB & Groom TB had a race back from overseas -- very cool cache: Mon Cheri Wedding Cache, GCGC4J
lostinjersey Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 I hope that any attendees will bring TB's and get their requisitive pics w/bride & groom! I picked up Pumba en route to a wedding i attended last weekend and made sure to get pics of the big pig with Joe & Birch. Shame he misbehaved, had to keep him on a tight leash for most of the party http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=35513
beckerbuns Posted June 18, 2004 Author Posted June 18, 2004 Could a forum moderator please move this thread back to Geocaching Topics? I already mentioned the wedding event cache in the Bay Area thread. I was trying to get the word out to the greater geocaching community, those who know us from the forums and IRC who are not in the West and Southwest. Thanks.
Ed Rad Posted June 18, 2004 Posted June 18, 2004 DON"T DO IT!! RUN AWAY... FAR AWAY WHILIE YOU HAVE THE CHANCE!!
