+dekromme
Hi there all, Me and the misses will be travelling to the status in june/july. our travel plan is starting at miami going upto DC by car, with out an fixed schedule. I was wondering if there are any GC events during that period close to my route. Would be fun to join a US GC event. We are from the netherlands ourselves. Greetings Dekromme P.S. any suggestions on MUST DO caches are welcome also. Edited April 25, 2004 by dekromme Quote Link to comment
the federation
stop by and visit us at nefga.com and we will see what we can do about an event. we haven't planned our summer schedule yet but if we have some idea about your travel plans maybe we can work something out. the federation Quote Link to comment
+OB Jets
OK but only if you promise to pick up a few things in Holland before you leave and drop them off at the event for us.(just kidding) As the federation said...right now your best bet is to check out NEFGA and wait and see. Chances are something might POP up between now and then... Ob Quote Link to comment
+TinTN
Geo Woodstock is taking place in Nashville, TN on Saturday July 3rd. Quote Link to comment
+GeoBear18
I am glad to see you are planning on coming our way. We will just HAVE to plan an event in Miami for you now! Quote Link to comment
+mtn-man
The Georgia Geocachers Assn (GGA) has an event on the second Saturday of each month. We move each event to a new location around the state and unfortunately I don't know where the June 12th and July 10th meetings will be held. They would most likely be near Atlanta since we have been going around the state a bit over the last couple of months. We hope you will get a chance to stop by and see us!!! Geowoodstock in Nashville will be a must see!!! It would be so cool to have an international visitor! I really hope you can make that event. I should be there too. Quote Link to comment

+Isonzo Karst
Would be fun to join a US GC event. We are from the netherlands ourselves. Here's one: Nature Coast GeoEvent If you show up we can call it an international event. There are lots of caches in the Central Florida area. Don't know what type of caching you like, so you can email if you like. Isonzo Quote Link to comment

Per the gga forum Thread I thought the June meeting was at Lake Lanier? Quote Link to comment

+mtn-man
Bummer. Hopefully you can plan your way to the Geowoodstock event in Nashville that is linked above. It would be close to your return trip time. I'll be there it looks like and I hope to see you there too! Quote Link to comment
+nctreker
If you can make it to central North Carolina on June 26th there is an event planned there. Summer Fun Quote Link to comment
+dekromme
hi NCtreker, This event look promising in our schedule, will try to get there. any suggestion on cities in the nearby area for hotels ? Dekromme Quote Link to comment
+nctreker
The event is being held just a few miles south of Raleigh and Cary. Both cities have plenty of hotels. Raleigh is the capital of North Carolina so there are museums, resturants, nightclubs, etc. in the area as well. There are also alot of caches. Quote Link to comment
+nittany dave
dekromme - Glad to see you may be able to attend our event. We always have a great time! As nctreker said, there are lots of places to stay in Raleigh and Cary. If you're going to be in town for more than just the event, let me know. I'd be happy to guide you around to some local caches. email me if you want to. I could also check around for local hotels. dave Quote Link to comment
