+MrRick
I'm looking at setting up my first cache. What would you recommend for finding ammo containers at a reasonable price? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
+Lazyboy & Mitey Mite
A surplus store is usually a good bet. Around here someone gets the boxes for free. He just visits the caches that claim to have ammo boxes and then takes the box and leaves all the contents on the ground. That's about as cheap as possible I guess. Quote Link to comment

What would you recommend for finding ammo containers at a reasonable price? Thanks! Surplus stores and gun shows. They go for around $5. +Desert_Warrior
GUNSHOWS! I usually wait till the end of the show, and offer the dealer $3 each for about 10 of them. I get a good deal, he don't have to load them into the truck and unload them into the shop. Quote Link to comment

ZippySLC
It all depends on where they are going to. The ones I have at the moment are slightly larger and heavier than the one in that pic. They weigh about 8lbs each. I plan on ordering some of the smaller "standard" size cans soon. Those will be cheaper to ship. Quote Link to comment
