  1. http://www.pboutdoor.com/index.php?main_pa...products_id=328 $24.95 + shipping
  2. Selling my iQue 3600. Not used very often - mostly for in car navigation. Includes an auto mount that is missing one metal screw. I will also throw in my copy of Fugawi mapping software which enables you to load and calibrate your own maps, as well as load USGS DRG topos, etc. Finally it also includes Mapsource with the full unlock codes. I want to try out the 76CS so I need to sell this toy to finance it. Make an offer. Send an email to bruset@pboutdoor.com. I'm located in NJ if anyone is local and wants to check it out, or buy it and save on shipping.
  3. It all depends on where they are going to. The ones I have at the moment are slightly larger and heavier than the one in that pic. They weigh about 8lbs each. I plan on ordering some of the smaller "standard" size cans soon. Those will be cheaper to ship.
  4. What are you asking for it?
  5. I could do $395 plus free shipping. Unfortunately I don't have the shirts. My distributor is supposed to get them in on 5/27 though... they sell quick.
  6. Really? Out of curiousity, what do you pay for them, and what are the dimensions/features. I always try to make sure that my stuff is fairly priced. Since I make almost no money on these, I'd be interested to see what you can get yours for.
  7. Any interest in some micro-cache containers? I've been selling quite a few of these on ebay, but before I run another auction I thought that I'd offer them up for sale here. They're a waterproof screw top container with a plastic link to keep the top from being lost when it's opened. There's a rubber gasket around the top to keep water out. It's 3" tall, 1" diameter. $1.75 each, plus shipping. Shipping runs $0.74 for two, mailed first class mail. Paypal to sales@pboutdoor.com
  8. If I run across any less expensive ones I will let you know. Unfortunately that Cathedral Peak one is the only hiking staff that I carry.
  9. Columbia/United Cutlery makes a really nice hiking staff - the Cathedral Peak. Features include a removable handle with interchangeable knife and saw blades, watertight storage space, compass, and adjustable wrist strap. Sheath is fiber reinforced nylon and clips on the side of the hiking staff and houses the interchangeable knife blade. Overall length - Adjustable from 37" to 57" It MSRP's for $99, and most online resellers have it for $70. I can do it for $65 including shipping.
  10. I have a few left in stock from my last order. I normally charge $6 ea. on my site, but I'll sell them for $5 each here. If anyone is interested, drop me a line at bruset@pboutdoor.com
  11. The shipping calculator has been fixed and now represents a more realistic price for shipping. I am still working on adjusting prices and adding discounts for quantity orders and such. I am always available via email (bruset@pboutdoor.com) to quote out prices. I'll try to help out the Geocaching community as best as I can. As I said, Groundspeak doesn't offer us much of a discount vs. retail prices, and we have to pay for shipping to get it in stock here.
  12. Re: pboutdoor.com I'm sure if someone emailed me and asked me if I could get them a deal on whatever Geocaching stuff they wanted, I could certainly do a better job than what's listed on my website. As far as shipping is concerned, my cart software still needs a few tweaks, expecially in the shipping calculation department. So far as pricing goes, it's hard to discount much when (as dealers) we don't get much of a discount ourselves. I offer the Groundspeak stuff more as a service than as a way of making money. I'll try to cut anyone as much of a deal as I can. Thanks for bringing this to my attention - I'll have to work on the shipping calculator a little more.
  13. Well, it's impossible to say if you'll be happy or not. I think, given your price point, that it is a good unit - but it is a starter GPS. If you're concerned about memory, the Meridian's are the way to go, as was said above. It will at least let you expand as you see fit. When I was using my Garmin GPSV I found that the 19mb of memory was a huge limitation. However, I only had street maps loaded on it. My iQue has a 256mb SD card in it, and the best thing is that I can always buy another SD card and have more storage. If you want to get your feet wet, the ST ATV is the way to go. Not only is it a decent GPS, but it comes with the topo maps. It's a really good deal.
  14. Have you considered the Sportrack ATV? It comes with a Topo Map CD and has a North American Highway basemap. http://www.pboutdoor.com/index.php?main_pa...products_id=133 The amount of memory you need is solely dependant on how large of an area you want to load on your unit. You could probably fit all of Maine in topo maps on the ST ATV. While I am more of a fan of the Garmin units, the Magellan sounds like it will fit your needs. I have a friend who swears by his. Walmart/Target all have good prices on GPS units. I can usually match or beat their prices, though, should you consider buying online.
  15. ZippySLC, Any update.... 4/4/04 has come and gone.... Heck.... I'd just like to know if they've started to make them yet, if they're on a slow boat or dock somewhere, going through customs.... or ? My distributor still doesn't have them in stock.
  16. I can do the 60C for $357.99. (plus shipping, of course.) I only have 4 left, though. I can pretty much beat any of the other online vendors prices...
  17. April 4th is the day I've heard that my distributor is getting them in from Garmin. I had hoped to be able to start selling them today.
  18. Because all an international buyer has to do is claim that they never got the item, or it was broken, not as advertised, etc. and Paypal will refund their money, take the money back from the merchant, or put a freeze on their account for 90 days (sucks if you keep money in there like some ebay sellers do.) For US buyers, the only protection a seller has is if s/he ships with a trackable carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS + Delivery Confirmation) and ships to a Paypal verified address. Of course I would say that 75% of the payments that I get come from unverified addresses, so I could be screwed if someone said that I never sent something, or that I sent something damaged. -ben Pine Barrens Outdoor Outfitters
  19. Paying by paypal and shipping to a non-US location is very risky to the seller. I would imagine that you'd have much better luck finding something used local to you.
  20. I have to add my $0.02 on the Que as well. I have found that for outdoor use, my old GPSV blew the Que away. Where the Que really shines is in-car navigation. Even as a Garmin dealer I can't really suggest that people use the Que for caching. It's just a pain to load data in/out of the GPS, and having to use 3rd party software for it just shows how much of a kludge it really is. The ONE thing that I like about the Que for outdoor use is being able to load USGS DRG topos with Fugawi. But even then it's a kludge and sometimes doesn't work right.
  21. Hi Jeffrey, Welcome to the world of GPS! You're correct in that the eTrex series* of GPS's can't accept maps. You can, however, interface the GPS to a computer and plot your position, up/download waypoints and tracks with various mapping software. It's handy for placing waypoints based on map features. * except for the eTrex Legend -ben Pine Barrens Outdoor Outfitters www.pboutdoor.com
  22. Well, there *is* an electronics district in NYC. Sounds like grey-market stuff though. I'd be very wary about dealing with them.
  23. Garmin seems to be willing to work with their customers, which is really nice. I think of any "tech" company I deal with, Garmin is the best in terms of support.
  24. From Garmin's website: Now the only thing that is vague is if you buy from a Garmin dealer who sells on ebay, and they provide you a sales receipt. That is one of the reasons why I don't sell GPS units on ebay. I don't want to run into problems if one of my customers needs support and can't get it because they bought a unit from me on ebay, even though I am a Garmin dealer.
