I see a lot of the folks in the Central Florida area seem to have each others phone numbers...so I've been wondering what the coordinates are that lead to the secret phone book...

Yeah...I laughed at that too... That and...can they do that? I mean...downlink to the GPSr like that? The GPS enabled cell phone was moving and he was still able to track it...those Meridians are something...

Just wondering how many folks out there combine two of my absolute favorite things in life (Jeepin and Cachin)? To me...one wouldn't be the same without the other...

Rechargeables...that's all I use in my GPS and digital camera. I have a charger in the car and one or two at the house. Can't beat em.

Mine was "Boots on High" (GC916C) today...what a blast!!!!

Surplus stores and gun shows. They go for around $5.

And...can Garmin and Magellan GPS' use other software? Other than their proprietary brand? By the way...I'm thinking Topo software here...

If money is an object (and it always is) would you guys recommend the Meridian or the Meridian Gold. I already have some SD cards from an old no longer functioning digital camera...so I can upgrade the memory right off. I can get the Meridian for a little over $100 and the Gold for about a hundred bucks more...

Which would you choose...and why? Also...which Meridian?
