gulliver22
Anyone successfully had their TB go overseas? I want to send one off to Europe and was just wondering if it stood much of a chance or not. Edited January 30, 2004 by gulliver22 Quote Link to comment

+bigredmed
I am familiar with 3 so far: 1. The Yakima TB wanted to go back to the Puget Sound, and after much delay did make it back. 2. The bug released in honor of my niece (Kate's Bug Box TB) was supposed to travel far and wide and so far its made it from coast to coast. 3. I think I'm in LUV TB has made it all over the country logging thousands of miles searching for romance. Quote Link to comment
+pdxmarathonman
The travelbug The Flask has made it overseas. In fact I can't even tell you about the last few logs - since they're not in english! I was one of the early finders of this one, neat to see it reaching nearly 8000 miles! Quote Link to comment
+Cave Troll and Eeyore
Our Tb "Hope the Bear" has just crossed the Atlantic and been placed in the Memphis TB Hotel after languishing in only her second cache since September 2003. Quote Link to comment
+geoguyver
That brings up a question for me for succesful TB's. After the reach their goal and get back to their owners, do cachers retire them and put them on display in their homes or do they just keep travelling? Would you retire yours? Quote Link to comment
Blazer2
I have a TB called Br'er Bear that has a laminated tag attached saying it wants an adventure...... it left Il. in May2003, has visited a few states and then ended up in a cache in Texas where it was picked up and taken for a five week journey to Japan. There it enjoyed some adventures and logged into a virtual cache, it then came back to the states and was picked up by a cacher who was traveling to Germany, after spending some time there and at a cache event, it came back to the states. Was dropped into another cache in Texas and is awaiting for it's next adventure. It is doing much more than I ever expected and is my fisrt TB so I consider it a success. Hopefully it will have many more adventures before heading home around the fourth of July. Quote Link to comment

+bazzle
My TB First Finder Spoon Of Happiness And Success achieves it's goal every time it is found and replaced... Quote Link to comment
+Lazyboy & Mitey Mite
Yeah I had one go overseas, get back to the mainland and die in the hands of a newbie. But I recently found the copys of each of my travel bugs that are lost so I"ll be sending them off again. I believe with just a laminated card attached instead of the metal copy. Let's see if that doesn't keep them moving, or at least their ghosts moving. Quote Link to comment
+blindleader
Don't Panic doesn't have a final destination so this doesn't go in the other thread mentioned above. It has managed to get to two other regions of the country and spent time in caches having the same theme. (Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) The high point has to be the following picture posted by parapatetic: Another success is that it is currently in the hands of a cacher who had never heard the original HHGTTG. And now it's even spawned its own thread consisting of people arranging to move it along. Swatting cool, I say Edit typo. Edited February 4, 2004 by blindleader Quote Link to comment
+WhereRWe? & RULOST2?
I currrently have a TB in Germany. It just hit it's third cache there - a TB Hotel at the Dusseldorf Airport! Hopefully it will go on a LONG flight... http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?ID=56870 Quote Link to comment
+Cacheola Crew
My son has Geo-jaguar who made it overseas and is now in New Zealand, after visting several other countries Since Geo-jaguar started in Virginia, we thought it would be neat if it came back to California and then worked it's way back to us, cause then it would have gone "round the world".
