crzycrzy Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 If GC.com were to start a chat feature would anyone use it ? If so, why, and if not, why ?
Renegade Knight Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 Clayjar.com runs the chat officially recognized by GC.com. Keenpeople also runs a chat.
Jamie Z Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 If GC.com were to start a chat feature would anyone use it ?If so, why, and if not, why ? In the list of forum topics, there is a link straight to the geocaching chat room. Or are you asking if GC.com started its own chat room, would people quit using the one already listed and go there instead? Jamie
Lone Duck Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 I think Jeremy has been clear that he doesn't want to host a chat room. The server load would be enormous.
JMBella Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 If GC.com were to start a chat feature would anyone use it ?If so, why, and if not, why ? Clayjars chat room is great. Go check it out crzy.
ClayJar Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 As we just had the second anniversary of the weekly official geocaching chats (and of course, people chat all the time, not just on Monday evenings), I'd have to say, yes, people use it.
gallahad Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 (edited) Albiet in delayed fashion, these threads often take on the image of chat rooms. I'm votin' NO; don't want no chat feature here. If ya wanna chat there's lots of sites already dedicated to the purpose. Edited January 23, 2004 by gallahad
sept1c_tank Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 It's been said before. Checkout ClayJar's Chat. But don't tell anybody, it's a secret.
robert Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 I can't believe nobody had thought of that yet!
