+murfster Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 I was wondering about having a "Top 10 " list of your favourite caches. As I go to different areas and do a search, often there are literally hundreds of caches to chose from. But which ones are unique, interesting, worth doing?? Any thoughts? My list would have to include " Baking Bread " located in Ottawa set by the Two Navigators. Murfster Quote
+TheGertridgeExplorers Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 (edited) My favourite cache to date is Nuttby in Nova Scotia. It is the highest point on the mainland. You can see PEI on a clear day. The view is fantastic. Donna G Edited January 4, 2004 by TheGertridgeExplorers Quote
+MrPeabody Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 I would have to say that the Rosabelle Cipher is one of the best all-round caches I have ever been to. It has a great puzzle, a good hide and a beautiful location that isn't well known. Quote
AlsidPrime Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 I believe my favourte has been "Eagle Ridge" Which is a nice 2 hour hike up to a spectacular view. Quote
+The Two Navigators Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 (edited) Ya Baking Bread is a good one to do, especially if your significant other wants to go shopping and you want to go caching Edited January 5, 2004 by The Two Navigators Quote
Team 35th Tecumseh Rovers Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 I would have to say Bluewater Country by Hard Oiler. This is a fun multi cache with a twist of math and history or the area. To top it all off it follows a very nice water way. Quote
+logger&trail Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 (edited) My all time favourite scenic cache is Algonquin Lookout South Trail After hiking in the park for years, this cache introduced me to a view that is superior to all others in the park. It was worth the climb up the mountain and a very sad occasion to have to come down. Edited January 6, 2004 by logger&ail Quote
+Halden Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 Temagami Tower Cache Fantastic View and a great Hike. Read all about it Quote
+Lazyboy & Mitey Mite Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 King Kahekili is my most favorite cache of all time. Maybe it's because it's located off Maui and looks like..... Quote
ertyu Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 Scooby's Lunch is my favorite find thus far. Quote
+Team Tigger International Posted January 7, 2004 Posted January 7, 2004 Not sure which cache I'd list as my favorite, but I'll give Team Tecumseh props for their ERCA multi. Takes a while to do it (70ish miles) and the stages give some variety in challenge. Star really enjoyed a virtual down in Indiana (Take a Seat). You could spend hours wandering around the area reading the stories next the graves. Wulf Quote
dobelady Posted January 7, 2004 Posted January 7, 2004 (edited) My favorite cache will always be Ebey bluffs on the west coast of Whidbey Island in Washington State. I was at a dog show with a friend who was being very mysterious, talking about a "cache" that was in the area to another of our friends. Now intense curiosity is one of my major character flaws and I managed to get her to tell me that she was "playing a treasure hunt game with a GPS receiver" and that I'd probably think it was silly. Well I love gadgets and I made her show me...we found 2 that day and I thought that it was really neat, but our 3rd find that weekend was Ebey Bluffs and it was amazing. A spectacular hike, breathtaking views, and someone wanted to share the spot with others. That is what this is all about to me... Edited January 7, 2004 by dobelady Quote
