Oh... I haven't seen who won yet. But I think it's traditional on finding you don't have a winning ticket. Quote
+TheCat Posted December 4, 2003 Author Posted December 4, 2003 Well if Nick & Ali promise to turn the valve into a Travel Bug then I will gladley let them have it. That is what I was going to do with it. Quote
+Subarite Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 Congratulations Mark for a brilliant final total for CIN . I didn't win though . Andy. Quote
+Bill D (wwh) Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 (edited) Hey, I've won the Geko! Thanks Mark and thanks Garmin. And thanks Dave of The Wombles, whose tickets were just after mine and who emailed me that I might be the winner - I'd forgotten about the raffle! I suppose I'll have to change my avatar now! +The Wombles Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 Excellent news on both counts - a brilliant total donation for CIN and delighted that Bill won the Geko. But mostly thanks to Mark for driving an amazing distance and making the whole thing happen. Quote
+NickandAliandEliza Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 Well if Nick & Ali promise to turn the valve into a Travel Bug then I will gladley let them have it. That is what I was going to do with it. Yep we promise!!! (I'll e-mail you direct via G:UK if I may) Very well done for all the hard work. As well as raising all the money, you've kept everyone glued to those b*&^%y maps for weeks!!!! Does anyone know how to find out if this was the most successful ever event cache?? Quote

I would class it as a BIG success and hope Mark had as much fun as I did catching him. and tracking him Edited December 5, 2003 by DEEGO Quote
+The Wombles Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 Does anyone know how to find out if this was the most successful ever event cache?? I guess that depends on your criteria. It's certainly raised the most money in the UK - does anyone know if there are other money-raising charity caches elsewhere? The other measurement criteria would be the number of logs over a week. I guess there are many event caches with more logs in one/two days, but are there any other events run over a week? Quote
