+plotthound2
I have a cache in northern NH that no one has found yet and few people have tried. I wonder how long it should take for the first person to find it. I'm considering removal and placing it somewhere else. Your thoughts? Quote Link to comment
SLCDave
Are you talking about This cache? I'd leave it there. Someone will take up the challenge sooner or later. It's a 3/4 rating, so it's not going to be found that often. I'd give it more time. "I'm 35 Years old, I am divorced, and I live in van down by the river!" - Matt Foley Quote Link to comment
+woodsters
If you would flip the state upside down, I would try it, but it's probably at least a good 2-3 hr drive for me... Brian As long as you're going to think anyway, think big. -Donald Trump Quote Link to comment
boreal jeff & sons
There are four "No Finds" that were logged and there were probably another two to four that didn't log. I'd suggest you do a maintenance check on this one and find out why it can't be found. How do they get moose to cross at those yellow road signs? Quote Link to comment
+Cincinnati Bearcaches
I agree with Jeff. there are 5 people with the cache on their watchlist. Probably the same people who couldnt find it If you post a note confirming its still there, they will be more apt to try again. Also it sounds like a different clue may help. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
I'd say leave it and place another one. The tougher caches will go a long time between finds. If you thought it was a great spot when you placed it, that hasn't changed, has it? I also agree with CB's. Check on it to make sure its still there. People are often reluctant to search for a cache that has a lot of not founds. If you post a note on the page verifying that its there, you might get some more bites. +Logscaler and Red
I agree with the check it idea. But I also suggest you input the cords for the cache and look for it from a cache hunters standpoint, not just walk out to it because you know where it is at. You might find you need to tweak your numbers a touch. Or a lot. logscaler. "It is not fair to have a battle of wits with unarmed people." Quote Link to comment
+Brian - Team A.I.
I had one go a good 6-weeks before it was found, and others within a few hours. It all depends on difficulty, location, and difficulty...oh, and location. I've also had one that went 3 days, only because the person to get FTF on it, spent 48 solid hours working on it before getting all 20 answers right. Brian Team A.I. Quote Link to comment
+flask
well, i've seen the area firsthand. crashco and i dashed out the door to try our hand at it when it was still new, which involved a number of hours of driving. it will be a long time before i try again, and you have to understand that i'm perfectly happy to come home bruised and bleeding. i'm kind of claustrophobic though, and i get nervous when i have to really push through dense scratchy brush; there wasn't even room to stand up much of the time. it was one of the more traumatic short hikes i've been on. by the same token, if you're pretty sure the container is still there, leave it. someone will get a kick out of being there first. not me, probably. and you have to understand that i am willing to drive over ice to get these things. i have been standing ankle-deep in moose urine while looking. but leave it. besides, it's not like people will get this one on their way to somewhere, because it's not on the way to ANYTHING. nobody drops by casually. you have to have intent. sooner or later somebody will find it. i'm betting on later, but whoever it is will be tickled pink, you wait and see. -====)) -)))))))))))) presta schrader Quote Link to comment

+Tsegi Mike and Desert Viking
Still, if I see a cache with 4 no finds, I'd probably wait until either someone finds it or the cache owner verifies it is still there. I suggest you verify it is still there and post a note on the cache page. As it is now, some potential hunters may be skittish about going for it.
