+Choachy
Being fairly to new this realm, I stumbled upon the state maps, and was showing them off to a fellow newb-cacher. I was really impressed by them, so I cant wait for the new ones. My time, your time is limited, but time itself is unlimited. Quote Link to comment

+LoneHowler
Why not use Mapquest maps for other countrys? More to see, More to do Quote Link to comment
+Team Mixster
Eagerly awaiting this feature so I thought I'd give this thread a bump to see if anyone (Jeremy?) knew the current status... Thanks! -Mixster Quote Link to comment
+Darkmoon
I miss the old map showing which caches I have found so I am eagerly waiting for the new design! How about it Jeremy, any new word or update? Darkmoon All you have to do to fly is throw yourself at the ground and miss! Quote Link to comment
Parsa
Jeremy, If someone has the time, many states offer free DRGs on a state GIS web site. It's of course easier to get the CDs with the files. A cheap place to find these now is on Ebay. Several Ebay vendors offer 1:250000 and 1:100000 state map CDs at much cheaper prices than the map vendors. The USGS maps are copyright free. (However, USGS itself charges a lot for getting the CDs with the files on them.) The GPSy software web site (www.gpsy.com) lists a lot of sources of DRGs (although it needs a little updating). iryshe
Wow. This is taking an awful long time to get up and running (and unfortunately has been backburnered for the "big dig" move to the new web site). Due to the ever increasing traffic I'm concentrating on a faster web site now instead of the map server. Hopefully I can get back on it soon. +Team Mixster
Markwell, forgive me, it's been a 13 hour day at work so I'm a little fatigued, but is there a spot on Buxley's to login and have it remove, recolor, or somehow show you which caches you've already found? Just curious as that's what your post sounded like, yet I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks! Mixster Quote Link to comment
+Markwell
Nope. But if you're having map withdrawals, it helps. It's not a fix for the problem. It's a fix for the shakes. Markwell Chicago Geocaching Quote Link to comment
+Team Mixster
Just wanted to bring this to the top again, is there a new ETA on the map server? (For some reason I just really *REALLY* liked the checked off caches in the maps - even the old map server with this option would be good) Thanks! -Mixster Quote Link to comment
