Bilder
Anyone ever place a cache inside a Zoo? I am thinking of asking the zoo up here for permission to place a cache. Did a search under zoo and got nothing. Would this work? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have never been lost. +JMBella
Is there a fee to enter the zoo? Two roads diverged in a wood, and I- I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. Because now I am Lost. Quote Link to comment
Team Og Rof A Klaw
Even if you got permission, you'd have to put it someplace where people could log it unobserved. You could place it as a virt... Oh, nevermind. Intermediate stage of a multi is the best I can come up with. ____________________________ - Team Og Rof A Klaw All who wander are not lost. +Bilder
Was thinking (if I can even get permission) would be to stick a micro under a bench or perhaps a multi that leads around the zoo. Wonder if I could talk the zoo into giving some coupons for the gift shop? And yes, it costs like 8 bucks to get in. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have never been lost. Been awful confused for a few days, but never lost! +SamLowrey
Put it in with the Lions and make it a 5.5 star terrain. Quote Link to comment

Bilder
Someone already got too close to one of the bears before. Here is the story. The teen in the story got more than a leg bite. Lets just say he will not be reproducing any time soon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have never been lost. +woodsters
Just make sure it isn't the zoo here in Boston where the Gorillas get loose...lol I think you would have to mention about the fee and the hours in the description. With that being said, I don't see why not. If you have ties with the zoo then someone will scream bloody murder.... Brian www.woodsters.com My Stats Found: 70 Hidden: 2 Quote Link to comment
MountainMudbug
I know of a free-to-enter zoo with at least one letterbox in it - don't see why a cache couldn't be as well, but permission would be a good idea.... Quote Link to comment

Team GPSaxophone
Someone placed a cache in the Albuquerque Zoo a year and a half ago. They said they had permission, but some of the best cachers in town couldn't find it on multiple attempts. It seems the cache was a victim of bad placement and was plundered. After emailing the cache owner I realized that all of us had looked in the exact spot they described. We noticed just about every kid at the exhibit looking in there at some point as well. If you're considering placing a cache at the zoo, make sure you list the hours and price of admission on your cache page. You must also have permission from the zoo, and they would be wise to tell the groundskeepers about the cache. Place it in a location away from the crowds of people. Someone paying to get in won't want to wait forever for the other zoo guests to move on in order to retrieve the cache. Took sun from sky, left world in eternal darkness Quote Link to comment
bigredmed
There was a micro placed in our zoo as a letterbox. It wasn't very popular. If they won't let you put it in the zoo, or they have tight hours, ask about areas on zoo grounds outside the fence. I put a cache in our botanical gardens outside the entrance at their direction. It has been very popular. _____________ 7 3 10 13 23 36 59 95 ... Quote Link to comment
Duke of Earle
I ran accross this one http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid={25E1442C-5C2E-41DB-B085-42B9F8C7FF54} in Chicago. It was pretty slick. Might give you some ideas. Quote Link to comment

RainDog
Zoo Invaders is a cache in the Brookfield Zoo outside of Chicago. It's a virtual. Bushwackers will be eaten. How do the Angels get to sleep when the Devil leaves his porch light on? Quote Link to comment
