+strikeforce1
What is the largest cachers gathering. How many people attended? How many caches were placed? How many travel bugs were released? Quote Link to comment
+oregone
This one wasn't the largest, but it definitely holds the record for the oddest. all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed Quote Link to comment
+oregone
This one was the largest in Oregon to date (that i know about). Probably sixty people if you count kids. all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed Quote Link to comment
+oregone
At this one we didn't hide any caches, but we found 37 from 7:30am to 5pm. all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed Quote Link to comment
umc
We're up to about 80 with this one. Traverse City Michigan Event That is going on this weekend I hear that its not odd for 150+ cachers at the New York events. ______________________________________________________________________________________ So far so good, somewhat new owner of a second/new Garmin GPS V 20 plus finds so far with little to no problem. +briansnat
Last spring we had about 40. 20 some geocachers from NY, NJ and Pennsy and their families. The previous year there were maybe 10 (that I see from the pictures...it was before I started). I'm sure this year we'll double the 40 if we try it again. Don't know where UMC got the 150 number, but that would be great. "Paternalism is the greatist despotism" - Emmanual Kant Quote Link to comment
Broncoholics
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=25301&log=y&decrypt= I'm not sure the total number of geocachers that attented but it was well over 100. The kids, my wife and I had an excellent time. The people, food, and all the geocaching games made this a most wonderful time. We can't wait for the next one........... +kbraband
We had about 100 attend our second annual WGA picnic last August. The first picnic drew about 50, and our campout last spring attracted about 50 geocaching campers. There's lots of enthusiasm and participation in Wisconsin! Quote Link to comment
+Markwell
We're not Wisconsin (although we did draw some Wisconsinites). Chicago's first picnic in 2001 drew about 60 (50 pictured here)... - only got about 40 people in the shot, many came and left before or after the picture, and some were out caching due to poor planning).
