Troubleshooting trackable - doesn't seem to activate properly?

Help please... I have activated two trackables today. One worked no problem. The other looks fine on the website but on the app it only shows as "Travel Bug Dog Tag", without any info or picture. I also can't drop it, as the only logging option is Write a note.

I've already tried reactivating it, without any change. Any suggestions most welcome!

Adding: the TB code is TB9WGKG.

It shows that it's in your hands. Maybe have a friend grab it using the 6 character code and then you grab it back?

Looks fine in my App.  Maybe log out, then log back in.

 

 

Your account content is "private", which limits what casual Forum members can do, so if you need help with this kind of thing, you could ask the Help Center.

I wasn't aware of the account setting issue - how public does it need to be?

There must have been some temporary delay with the App info update.  Any TB activates as "Travel Bug Dog Tag", then the owner may change the TB name.

 

You may leave your Geocaching activity private.  It doesn't need to be public, unless you have a question about your TB or cache log or activity.  Unless you post some specific information with your question, only HQ may see the data.

I'm having the same problem this morning. I'm trying to log drops of several TBs that I dropped in a cache on 8/4. They show as in my inventory, but the only logging options I'm getting are "Write Note" or "Discover".  Any ideas?

Suggest logging out and back in - or just waiting, maybe a day.

Rather than doing that, consider posting what the issue was so others can learn from what you experienced.
